Thoughtfully designed
websites for creative,
handmade businesses*
crafted in Halifax, Nova Scotia since 2024. *
Hi, I'm Claire Walls, a UX and web designer based in Nova Scotia with an incurable habit of making things just a little bit better (in the best possible way).
I help businesses and organisations build digital experiences that work beautifully for everyone involved, easy and enjoyable for the people using them, and just as straightforward for the people running them behind the scenes.
Intuitive to navigate, considered in every detail, and genuinely reflective of who you are.
I work in Figma, Squarespace, Shopify and WordPress, and I bring a background in brand, marketing and visual design to everything I make. Whether you're a small creative business finding your feet online or an organisation that needs a website that works as hard as you do - I'm your person!
Design that's thoughtful,
clear, and made to last.
A website you actually own.
You've probably heard it before - just get a website built. So you did. And then updates became a mystery, the person who built it moved on, and suddenly you're paying someone every time you need to change a paragraph.
It doesn't have to be that way.
I build websites that put you in control. Designed to look great, built to be manageable, so you're never stuck waiting on someone else to make your own website work for you.
The right tool for the job.
Not every website needs to be built the same way. I work across Squarespace, Shopify and WordPress - and I'll always recommend the platform that makes the most sense for you, not just my personal favourite.
That means thinking about how you'll use it day to day, what your budget looks like long term, and what happens after we're done working together. Because a website that works is one you can actually keep working.
Hello, there!
Design that understands your world, because I've lived in it.
I'm Claire, a UX and web designer based in Nova Scotia with a background that's taken a few unexpected turns.
I spent years running my own creative businesses, working in brand and marketing, and making things by hand before I retrained as a designer. Getting diagnosed with ADHD along the way taught me a lot about how our brains work differently, and how good design can either get in the way or quietly make everything easier.
This is the drive behind my work. I care about building things that are intuitive, manageable, and genuinely useful, not just for the people visiting your site, but for you too.
